How do you know someone's philosophy? By what they say, and do. Indy is in a cutthroat business of archaeology finds. People will stop at nothing for "the guts and glory." His success usually depends on that primitive instinct: flight or fight. He escapes from planes set to crash, from British Hondurasian Indians chasing him to his plane or out of The Temple of the Serpent in British Honduras.

Or he fights. Or when two swordsmen are ready to battle he shoots them. He likes to keep it simple. No baggage. That's why he doesn't have a wife or children!
