THE SCHOOL:
HOGWARTS

The English education system featured the 11+ until 1971 in which everybody was sorted out for future careers: grammar school (arts) or technical school (math). There were five years towards the ordinary Level exam, and a further two years if you passed to Advanced exams (A levels) to university. It took seven years.

Each year provides a new adventure for Harry. The format is basically the same: summer vacation with the Dursleys, trip to London to visit magic shop, train to Yorkshire, school arrival and greetings. Lessons begin, bad guy show himself and a mystery must be solved. Toss in a Quiddich match and exams and school ends another year.
